Raised in Texas and based in New York, Amy Yoes reconfigures historical uses of ornamentation and design through a range of media from painted wood sculpture to video animation. She has exhibited at the Museu de Arte Contemporânea, Portugal; Den Frie Udstilling, Denmark; D.U.M.B.O. Art Center, Brooklyn, NY; Wexner Center for the Arts, Ohio, and in a collaborative pop-up project with Catherine Borg at the Peppermill Fireside Lounge, Las Vegas (2006). UNLV AIR 2006. (DKS)
