Jean Giguet (Congolese, American , 1947-1996) x
Born in the French Congo, Jean Giguet arrived in the United States in his early twenties. He received a BFA from Southern Illinois University in 1975, followed by a MFA in 1977. After graduation he moved to Las Vegas where he joined the staff of the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, working primarily as a curator. Giguet was also an exhibition consultant for the Nevada State Museum in Carson City and the Discovery Children's Museum.
