"Unstitched"
2023
The students adopted the scrap of map which had been taped up for the duration of crafting the Mapping Projects, because we didn't want to leave the displaced child of art and land behind. The piece is an emancipation of negative space: creating a positive space between the double negative of the white wall. It was a spontaneous explosion of creative expression, fostered by the bonds of collaboration and discussion within the Land Art class.
