Turtle tongue. It finally deflates halfway through lunch. The alkaline flakes that preceded your death by decades dot your mouth. Who hasn't discussed them?
Ash on bone china.The host says please don’t smoke. The lunch crowd clears, the servers prep for
dinner.
You get started. We overstay, more ash, more china. The host gives up.
You win
& you always do win
& finally one day you didn't.
