Noelle Garcia is a multidisciplinary artist from the Klamath, Modoc, and Paiute tribes. Pregnancy made her sharply aware of the gap between historical Indigenous foodways and the contemporary diet her baby was going to eat. By using traditional beading methods on Cheerios and Doritos she brings the two worlds together, transforming Western food brands into a vehicle for Indigenous culture.
Item Description: A small pile of tiny rings each formed by intricate yellow beads to resemble individual Cheerio cereal pieces.
