Artist statement:
In the First Times
In the first times, when our creator made us, we all lived in peace with the animals and spoke the same language. To communicate with all living creatures, protect and respect the earth was and still is our tradition. For the Aha-Macav (Ft. Mojave Indian Tribe), we were put here on this land to protect our sacred sites: the air, the mountains, the desert plants, animals and the water. Our elders say if you listen to the mountains, they will talk to you, for you are one, you are part of each other.
