Artist: Edward Renouf (American, 1906-1999)
Edward Von Pechmann Renouf was a prolific artist who worked in a variety of mediums, and is known for his paintings, drawings and sculpture. He was born in Hsiku, China. His parents were American, J. Vincent Adams Renouf and German, Lilli Von Pechmannan. He graduated from Andover Academy in 1924 and received a BA from Harvard 1928. After three years at Columbia University he spent time in Europe where he studied drawing. He spent fifteen years in Mexico finally settling in Connecticut in 1958 when he began exhibiting.

Edward VonPechmann Renouf, 93, of Juniper Meadow Road, Washington Depot, died Nov. 30 at his home. He was the widower of Catherine (Smith) Renouf.
Mr. Renouf was born Nov. 23, 1906, in China, son of the late Vincent A. and Lili (VonPechmann) Renouf.
He is survived by his three daughters, Hester Renouf of Sweden, Johanna Renouf of London and Edda Renouf-Middleton of Paris; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
The Rowe Funeral Home of Litchfield was in charge of arrangements.
