MessageVictor Landweber is an American conceptual artist and photographer known for his often experimental approach to photography and image-making. His work emerged in the 1970s Southern California art scene, where he explored techniques such as solarization, toning, and Polaroid diptychs to challenge conventional photography practices. He received his BA from the University of Iowa (1966) and his MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles (1976). Since the mid-1980s Landweber has resided in Berkeley, CA continuing to practice his exploration of photography's aesthetic boundaries.
