Artist: Francis Frith (British , 1822-1898)
Francis Frith was a British photographer and entrepreneur known for his work in early photography. His speciality was in documenting landscapes, towns, and architecture across the United Kingdom and Middle East. Frith's photographs were some of the first large-scale photographic surveys of these regions. The images were often sold as postcards of albums, which made photography more accessible to the public. His work is an important historical record of 19th-century life and locations.
