Nancy’s work as a Midwest artist is linked to her way of being in the world. Painting is her means to externalize what is internal. Through her work she hopes to capture a version of events that can resonate and communicate to others her affinity for city living. She is interested in the politics of space, belonging and estrangement, gain and loss, life and death, history and mythology, movement and stillness, light and form.
