"Not strictly 2-D, not quite 3-D, I call my art 2½-D. I love the interplay in appearance and touchability of various textures. My art is a constant experiment in ""what else could this be?"" or ""what can I use to represent this?"" I try to keep an open mind and explore what uses - other than their original purpose - objects may suggest. I use a variety of substances and techniques. My art frequently features feathers, wood, hay or grass or other substances (mostly natural) or pyrography.
Today, art is a joy and a passion for me. It involves continual growth and exploration which I find exciting. I look forward to continuing to develop as an artist - more knowledge, more experimentation, new objects, new techniques. Farm Island Anthology was a wonderful challenge for me. Having lived in the mid-west and visited my mid-west relatives encouraged me to create my version of ""Barn"" and ""island Dog""."
