The greatest influence on my life as an artist, has been growing up on the endless Nebraska heartland. From my ancestors who homesteaded Saunders County, NE, in 1870, to my family today, farming has been the heartbeat & the way of life! This experience has left a huge influence upon my life. I fondly recall at a young age, being enveloped by the lavish wealth of the land, light & sky with a splendid awareness of an infinite "Mother Nature", around me. Those swaying blue, violet alfalfa fields & the soft summer breezes felt so sublime. I carried that treasured memory within my young self. Today, my perspective is to celebrate the magnificent land, light & skies of Nebraska. My works are of scenes that encompass a 100 mile radius of the area in which I grew up around. I work primarily in oils, watercolor, & mixed media. With these mediums & a dynamic use of color, I feel like I am capturing all the carefree movements of the stacks & wedges of landscape that come so alive to my vision.
