Weight Of The World

This work was my way to process despair I felt when Russia started the war in Ukraine. As an artist with Russian heritage I felt deeply wounded by that, and this is the first phase of going through the range of emotions that I at first recognised as sadness, despair and depression - but later translated into fuming anger and gave birth to my project 'Right to Rage', dedicated to Female Rage. It was triggered by unspeakable violence against women in the course of this war (and I suspect any wars), but went much further in exploring the subject.
