Over the years, I have created several American flag pieces, and they have become some of my most sought-after works. My intention was to create a flag that reflects America’s resilience—a flag that has endured hardship, been repaired, weathered more challenges, and been restored once again. Regardless of political beliefs, the American flag represents something larger than ourselves.

I wanted Old Glory USA to feel worn, torn, and tested by time. Built on concrete and layered with burlap, metal grating, rebar, wire, and fabric, each material suggests years of damage and repair. This piece is about perseverance. No matter what America faces, we always have the ability to rebuild, heal, and come back stronger than before.
