Andrew Rush is a highly regarded American printmaker and art teacher (he formerly taught at the UA College of Art and is a founding member of The Drawing Studio), who received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Tucson Pima Arts Council in 2006. During the year this intaglio was created Rush was active in print exhibitions in Asia, Africa and the Soviet Union.
