Michael Kloth is a Tucson-based fine art photographer with an MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University and the Certified Professional Photographer designation from the Professional Photographers of America. He is the author of two internationally reviewed books of shelter-animal portraiture, Shelter Cats and Shelter Puppies (Merrell Publishers), which grew out of nearly two decades of volunteer photography for rescue organizations; work he continues today at Pima Animal Care Center and the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. His photographs have been exhibited across the United States and licensed through Getty Images, and his fine art practice spans animal portraiture, infrared photography, and alternate processes including cyanotype and Van Dyke Brown printing.
