Jean Stern attended Cornell, the Ecole des Beaux Artes in Fontainbleau, France, and Barnard College before moving to Tucson for her M.F.A. at the University of Arizona. She exhibited extensively beginning in 1962 and was most recently represented by Davis Dominguez Gallery. She lived at Rancho Linda Vista at the time of her death.
