Nina Simone's song Mississippi Goddam is as relevant today as it was in 1963. This piece is a tribute to the singer/ activist and her tremendous talent. It was inspired and created in response to Black Lives Matter movement in June 2020 and completed with the final layer in 2022. Acrylic, spray paint and transfer on wood, the text on the piece features the lyrics of the song Mississippi Goddam . 12" diameter. Framed in wood frame. Framed Dims: 13"x13"
