More and more I have trouble recognizing the digital version of people and their lives. Everything is filtered, optimized, enhanced, auto-corrected. Everyone looks like on the set of the movie Surrogates posting as humanoid remote-controlled robots. Floral Bouquet is an Exploration of our current duality, our digital lives vs our real ones. Insta accounts full of glamour, filtered selfies and pictured perfect lives as opposed to the reality of things. Digitally manipulated imagery is printed on carefully sourced upcycled paper, then ripped in half and paired with a different image to create a whole. Partially painting over the imagery to add a two tone effect and texture. On foam core board ready for framing.
