Small Talk

Although these are individual images and can stand on their own, I see them as a group having "small talk" in conversation with each other. Collected at weddings, bar mitzvahs, and milestone celebrations, these images capture the gestures and glimmer that orbit around the edges of social ritual. Held drinks, layered textures, costume jewelry, and clutched purses become stand-ins for performance, intimacy, and pause.
