Roger Capron was a French ceramic artist born in 1922 who was instrumental in the 20th-century revival of ceramics in Vallauris, France. He founded his own workshop, "Atelier Capron," in 1952, which grew into a successful factory known for decorative tiles, coffee tables, and lamps. His career is marked by his ability to blend semi-industrial production with an artistic vision, achieving international acclaim before the factory closed in 1982. He continued creating unique pieces until his death in 2006.
