This drawing is based off a photo I took in a hotel room in Fairbanks Alaska. Jason was packing for a 12 month deployment. We were not living in Alaska yet. We were still living in Kansas and the kids and I in the process of moving to Reno, NV to be with family for the year. We thought we would go back to our house in KS after the deployment, but instead we ended up moving to Fairbanks and stayed in this hotel for a couple of months while waiting for housing and for Jason’s deployment to end.
