A ruby breasted hummingbird drinking the honey from a honeysuckle vine. The bird has a red throat and the wings are almost invisible as it is in flight. The honeysuckle flowers are in shades of red, orange, and yellow. In a burnished gold leaf frame which is wide and simple. A silk matting with an inner liner of gold leaf scroll work. Further inside is a red moiré taffeta liner which is closest to the painting.
