Painted from photos taken along route 15 in Underhill Vermont. Several photos were used from throughout late winter and early spring. Beaver ponds along route 15 called Underhill Flats. The tall dead trees stand like sentinels overseeing the beaver ponds, hence the title "Old Guard".
This piece took 1st place in both the Northern Vermont Artist's Association (NVAA) Annual Juried Show and the 2015 Champlain Valley Fair.
