I love this particular location on Riverwalk, at the entrance to the second field heading east from River Park, where at a certain time of day the sunlight backlights and illuminates the tree foliage like a stained glass window. A view I've painted many times, this version was done as part of the 2019 Paint It Orange plein air event, gently tweaked afterward. Riverwalk is beloved, scenic, urban greenway that stretches almost 2 miles along the Eno River through the heart of Hillsborough, NC.
