Jeffrey Stern is a lens-based artist with a career in sound editing for motion pictures. His professional credits encompass work on over one-hundred feature films, documentary and television productions. He has been nominated six-times for an Emmy Award with one Emmy win and various other awards and achievements.
Jeffrey Stern received a BFA in Photography / Film from Philadelphia College of Art where he studied under Ray K. Metzger and an MFA from the University of Miami in Digital Photography studying with Tomás López. Jeffrey was an Associate Professor of Practice in UM’s Cinematic Arts Department. He previously served as a filmmaker in residence at the North Carolina School of the Arts and as Adjunct Professor at New School University in New York.
He lives and works in Hillsborough, NC
