Nuda Veritas

Nancy Smith is an award winning artist and the author of Women Speak: Poetry, Portraits and Prose of the Feminine Experience. For this book, Nancy collaborated with over 100 women writers from 9 different countries to select poetry and prose that best described her paintings. She is co-owner of Hillsborough Gallery and displays her works frequently in exhibitions throughout the Southeast.

"Many of these paintings were a part of the Women Speak Gallery Event in 2019. I painted the female form almost exclusively for 3 years in preparation for the gallery event. Since then, I have been exploring abstracted landscapes but always return to painting the female form at least once a year."
