This sculpture (Marmalade) was created in the traditional way with a live model and traditional water-based clay. After that, the piece entered the modern era: it was scanned in 3d, processed by software, 'cut' into sections: and each section was 3d printed. The pieces (21 in total) were then welded and glued together. Finally the whole work was patched and sanded and painted.
