Jane Filer was born in San Jose, California and studied art in Chicago and Southern Illinois where she graduated with honors in 1982. She came to North Carolina and received her masters in Fine Art in 1985. Jane lives in the woods and loves life, animals and most people. Her many travels to New Mexico, the Florida Keys, the woods of North Carolina all play into the abstract, mystical nature of her work. Her paintings have been collected and exhibited all over the world.
