Born and raised in a diverse South Africa, art and design has always been an intrinsic part of her life, personality, and identity.
Although currently focusing on mark-making in charcoal and its expressiveness, Bren works in several mediums, including painting, drawing, and photography. Her design background has allowed her artistic interests to encompass a variety of new media.
Her work leans towards heavier and darker mark-making drawing inspiration from everyday life and the human condition translating into various imagery ranging from figurative to abstract, often in combination.
Bren currently lives and works in North Carolina.
