This work is part of the series that appeared in See Through, a collaboration between Ahmed and Hobbs, that examined the ephemerality of relationships. The work plays on ideas of perspective, transparency, reflection, and accumulation between oneself and the memory of another. The artists use wax to show the emotional weight of what it feels like to try to hold a relationship together over time. They question what happens when a message goes unanswered.
