'The Lavender Harvester,' an 8x10 oil, depicting the Monastery Gardens of St. Remy. I was captured by the calming colors and relaxing breath of the lavender fields. Here a lone harvester illuminated by soft, golden sunlight as he diligently collects the fragrant, fading purple blooms. The rhythmic rows of lavender stretch into the distance, converging at the ancient stone walls flanking the garden shed, where nature and history harmoniously coexist. This painting is not only a celebration of the vibrant beauty of Provence but also a reflection of my own artistic journey, capturing small pieces of Provence. Vincent van Gogh's transformative experience during his time in the neighboring asylum, where inner turmoil found expression in 150 timeless works of art here in St. Remy. In the end, I hope to evoke the same sense of inspiration and emotion in those who view my creation."
