Item description: A relief carved Teakwood of two horses.
This Teakwood Relief was carved in the autumn of 1966 by Yolande Jacobson, wife of Professor J. Craig Sheppard of the University of Nevada, Reno Art Department. Designed for Nye Hall, the theme of horses was chosen as a symbol of the continuing spirit of freedom and individuality traditional to the west and Nevada.
