Poem by Kirk Robertson & Drawing by Michael Sarich
The Mispah Sonnet:
She stands naked at the window
skin glowing from the bath pulls
the lace curtain to the one side
Rain pulsed motel neon
from five floors below
dapples her alabaster profile
In gray light she will reach
for him soon she'll come
across the bed to his warmth
And with the breast of Redlick Summit
draped in dark nimbus rain turning
to snow they'll head north then west
Through the world's longest deepest valley
peaks on either side stiff with late spring snow
