Item description: Wendy Red Star works across disciplines to explore the intersections of Native American ideologies and colonialist structures, both historically and in contemporary society. Raised on the Apsáalooke (Crow) reservation in Montana, Red Star has been documenting “rez cars” and government houses for years. Some of these cars belong to her family and the homes to family friends. These cars and houses are calling out to be observed--offering the viewer a glimpse into the lives of the people who own them.
