Oil lamps were used by ancient people in a variety of ways. This ancient lamp was made from a two-part mold, with clay impressed into a mold.
Clay lamps could be hand-molded, wheel thrown, or impressed into a mold. Some lamps show signs of being made using a combination of these methods.
