Item description: A landscape painting depicts a morning view across the Black Rock Desert, Nevada. The Black Rock Desert is large desert playa and the remains of prehistoric Lake Lahontan. A light, pale blue sky above dark bluish-gray mountains, with a few, soft white clouds scattered. The light beige-tan colored playa stretching across the foreground. A patch of brownish-tan, small, scrubby vegetation or low-lying desert plants scattered across the lower portion of the foreground. The overall muted color palette, creates a sense of calm and stillness.
