Ancient Americas, North Coast Peru, Moche, ca. 400 to 700 CE. A mold-formed pottery figure standing upon wide-set feet. The Moche figure has a portly abdomen, rounded shoulders, an intricate necklace, and a squared head. This figure is covered in earthy red slip.
