Item description: The funeral of Mary Queen of Scots; men lowering her coffin into the grave in the nave of Peterborough Cathedral, attended by mourners and a man standing on the left holding her crown on a dark cushion, with Dean Fletcher of Peterborough officiating.

French: Le corps de Marie futçu avec beaucoup de respect par l'évêque de Petersbourough, et le Doyen du Chapître et à la presence des Ecossos qui assistaient aux funerailles; on l'enterra dans une voûte, qu'on avait preparée à cet object. Lévêque de Lincoln recita un Sermon et des prieres.
English: The body of Mary was received with great respect by the Bishop of Petersbourg, and the Dean of the Chapter and in the presence of the Scots who attended the funeral; he was buried in a vault, which had been prepared for this purpose. The Bishop of Lincoln recited a Sermon and prayers.
