Siri Beckman received her BA in Art History from Lake Forest College and her MFA in Book Arts and Printmaking from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. Beckman taught at the University of Maine, Gould Academy, and the Haystack Mountain School of Craft. She builds lively scenes full of action and movement with her delicately crafted wood engravings.
Her work is in many collections including the Library of Congress; the Boston Public Library; the permanent collection of Harvard University; the Farnsworth Museum and the Portland Museum of Art.
Beckman received numerous awards and residencies. She participated in five residence programs: US National Parks, including Acadia National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Hovenweep National Park, Badlands National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Mesa Verde National Park. Her work is in many collections, including the Library of Congress, the Boston Public Library, the permanent collection of Harvard University, the Farnsworth Museum, and the Portland Museum of Art.
