Robert Andrew Parker attended the school of the Art Institute of Chicago (1948-1952). In 1954, Parker had his first solo show and has since exhibited extensively. Since his first solo show in 1954, Parker has exhibited extensively and has done set designs for opera and film, as well as book illustrations. His watercolors are silhouettes and shapes of the natural world around him. He worked in areas of Arles and Saint-Remy in France and in 1981, while traveling to the Himalayas, he was inspired by the landscape.
