Artist: Leopold Flameng (Belgium-French, 1831-1911)
Leopold Flameng was born in Brussels, Belgium to French parents. He was known for his paintings, illustrations and an engraver. His skills were highly praised during his lifetime, that he was awarded the Gold Medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1878. In 1898, he was elected a member of the Academy of Fine Arts.
