Artist: Joan Miró (Spanish, 1893-1983)
Joan Miró at the age of seven attended a private school, Carrer del Regomir 13, a medieval mansion. In 1907 he enrolled at the fine art academy at La Llotja. While studying at Cercle Artistic de Sant Lluc, he had his first show at the Galeries Dalmau in 1918, in which it was mocked and ruined. In 1920 he moved to Paris to be part of the art community where he was inspired by Fauve and Cubist artist.
