Born and raised in Hong Kong, Joey Leung was graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (BA(Fine Arts), 2000 ; MFA,2007 ). She combines the elements of Chinese fine brush painting and popular culture in her works. She explores the use of different medium, trying to push the boundary of difference. It’s also an attempt to introspect the interpretation of traditional images or elements in the age of information abundance. Stories in her artworks are transformed from her feeling and fantasy towards contemporary daily life.
