In the third painting of the series the tendency to tell stories increases.
If I were to choose a "fruit of love", I would choose a passion fruit, the name being a double-edged sword, since "passion" can be both suffering and passion. But this is often very close in love.
I find this fruit to be very special. Its unspectacular to ugly appearance and the incomparable taste are diametrically opposed.
I have long had a hot love affair with pomegranates because of their beautiful inner and outer shape. That's why they had to be taken to a painting dedicated to the passion.
My latest affair, however, is the currants, which were a pure joy to me to paint. I had already suspected that these small, slightly translucent bodies would be very pleasurable to paint. And they did not disappoint me!
This painting is for me full of lust, love and summer told with fruits and associations.
