MessageThis vase is made by artist Valda Cox. Cox, a Latvia native, has been a full time potter for over 40 years, specializing in porcelain. She is known for her bold colors in her glazes. This particular vase is oblong with a large belly and a small neck. The lip of the vase flares out wider than the neck. The neck of the vase is glazed in tan, the mid section of the vase is glazed in a denim blue, and the bottom of the vase is a nice shiny black. The base of this ware is unglazed white clay, and contains the artist's first name as a signature.
