The Gallery at Penn College
Williamsport, PA
The Gallery at Penn College hosts a rotating schedule of solo, group, and traveling exhibitions, and is free and open to the public year-round.
MessageThis work may have been partially inspired by the work of Amedeo Modigliani with the long neck and emotional intensity. A woman with brown hair and a caramel skin tone stands in a protected position with her arms folded across her chest. Her eyes are narrowed and her lips are slightly pursed, emitting a sense defensiveness. In contrast to her body language, she holds a single flower as an offering, perhaps of peace, to the viewer.
