This vessel comes from the Acoma nation in New Mexico, by an artist named Rose Garcia. This is a classic example of Acoma pottery, it is lightweight with thin walls and is decorated in a geometric black and white design. The top portion of this vessel that contains the geometric design also contains an illustrated pattern of bugs and fish that contain geometric designs inside their bodies. The bottom of the vessel is signed, "Rose Chino Garcia, Acoma, N.M."
