MessageThis vessel is a unique Nambe ceramic. The donor notes that the Nambe reservation is small and quiet, but extremely welcoming. The Nambe followed the Tewa potting traditions, similar to the Hopi-Tewa who create the majority of the Hopi ceramics. Like the Hopi, this vessel is a striking orange color with a white arrowhead attached to it. Not much is known about the application of the arrowhead and its significance, nor much about the artist who created this vessel. The bottom of the vessel is signed "Gloria Trujillo, Nambe Pueblo."
