This low ceramic bowl was made by the artist Valda Cox. Cox, who is native to Latvia, has been a full time potter for over 40 years. She specializes in porcelain. She is known for her bold glazes on her ceramic works. This particular bowl is low with thick walls that slope inwards. the outside of the bowl is glazed with a dark green with a lightly glazed rim. The inside of the bowl is a midnight blue that shines in the light. The bottom of the bowl is unglazed white clay with the artist's first name as the signature.
